Acrylic on Canvas, 2020

Acrylic on canvas, 2' x 10" x 1.5"

"No one ever found Richard after his fall; a lone Agave in bloom at the place they last saw him alive."

A study of scale, foliage, light, and jungle. I wanted to draw the eye to a bright yellow sky and pull it down into a darker cold sinkhole. Originally, I was going to try a series of waterfalls inspired by my hike in Seven Pools on Maui. But I found the composition was slightly better suited towards having gentle streams split by stone, cascading towards a final resting place off the canvas' frame.

This piece was started on my own and finished by commission for an EAST 2019 patron. Thanks for reaching out and wanting to purchase it Greg. Agave was added for customized flair.

Not available for purchase - but email me at: ART.OF.CHALUPA@OUTLOOK.COM anyways if you're wanting to chat.
